Printer Driver Analyzer

Lesson 1: Why use the Printer Driver Analyzer?

Printer setting information is extremely useful to know. For example, if the printer driver does not support multiple copies, it is pointless to set piCopies to any number.

Another example is the need to print a report from different printer bins, or paper trays. To Illustrate, say you want the first page of a report to print from a bin containing paper with a stationary head and the remaining pages from a bin with plain paper. In this case, you must specify the bin numbers.

If the code uses a bin number not supported by the chosen printer, the results will not be what you expected nor wanted.

In the next lesson we will take a look at how the Printer Driver Analyzer works.
