DataFlex Reports is a versatile and comprehensive tool for delivering reports to support business operations. For advanced use, the VB-like language for creating formulas and functions, makes for an easy to learn, fully programmable environment. It's easy to create lists, labels and charts or to quickly generate ad-hoc reports with the build in wizard and experts to provide accurate and timely information at all time. This Course shows how to create a Report using three different data sources and how to enhance the report.

DataFlex database

The DataFlex database is an embedded database system. As the name shows, the database is embedded in DataFlex. This lesson shows how to create a report based on a DataFlex database.

ODBC stands for Open Database Connectivity. ODBC can be used to connect a Microsoft Access database to DataFlex. This lesson shows how to create a report based on an ODBC database.

Runtime Data Source

RDS stands for Runtime Data source, which means data is being collected by a DataFlex application at runtime. The data is captured in an `In Memory' array, and it can come from a database, or a non-database, for example a web service. This lesson shows how to create a report using RDS.

Enhance the report

The previous lesson showed how to create the same report using different databases. This lesson shows how to enhance the report with DataFlex Reports.
